Name: Primeval Whirl
Type: Ride, Kiddie Coaster
Location: Animal Kingdom, Dinoland U.S.A. area
The Gist: Supposed to be like a silly carnival ride, this small rollercoaster is distinct because of its "whirling", which is really just a part at the end where they spin your car around a few times.
Must-Do For: Kids who are too young for Everest but want to ride a roller coaster; adults who are too scared to ride Everest but want to do a roller coaster.Avoid If: You really don't like spinning. It actually doesn't spin you that much, but some people are bothered by twirling even a few times. Also, if you are very afraid of heights, keep in mind that this ride does get up a bit.
Fear Factor: 3.5/10. In the end, this is really a ride meant for kids, although any age can enjoy it. And, if you are on it and you hate it, keep in mind that the duration of the ride is probably about a minute.
Lines and Other Tips: Usually the line for this is pretty short. Not one I'd bother getting a fastpass for, you have better things to do here.
I don't like spinning, so I thought the Primeval Whirl would bother me, but it really doesn't. The spinning is only for a few seconds at the end. It is a pretty good choice if the other wait times are bad, or if you've done everything else, but I wouldn't make it a huge priority for your visit.
